Banner Ad (Spec Ad)

The New Yorker is a weekly magazine focused on politics, social issues, art, humor, and culture.
Challenge
Spec ad: The goal of this dynamic banner ad is to increase the number of digital-only subscriptions. The three frames will loop three times and then stop on the last frame.
Solution
Because the target audience is tech savvy, I used the final frame to position the magazine as an alternative to the “mindless scroll” often associated with social media. I also used the first two frames to highlight staying up-to-date and how this may benefit them in social situations.
